The
Company formed in 2004 and has three core members:
Daphna Attias, Terry O'Donovan and Clare Parke-Davies.
Daphna
Attias (Director)
Daphna
has directed all the company productions to date.
Besides her work with dANTE OR dIE She is currently
working on a performance collaboration entitled
Chi Chi Bunichi (Shunt Lounge, Siobhan Davies
studio) as well as a new show for children based
on Eugene Ionesco's text. She has worked as an
assistant to Akram Khan and Sidi Larbi Cherkaouii
on Zero Degrees at Sadler's Wells. She was also
an Assistant Director in many theatres such as
the National Theatre of Israel, Herzrlia Theatre
Ensemble, the Schaubuhne-Berlin, the Israeli Opera
Institute and Itime Ensemble. For Lispector, she
received The Israel-America Cultural Foundation
Scholarship. She graduated from the MATP course
at The Central School of Speech and Drama - and
also studied at the school of visual theatre in
Jerusalem and in the School for New Dance Development
in Amsterdam. Daphna's experience as a workshop
leader varies from facilitating various groups
from refugee groups and disaffected youth, community
centres, drama schools as well as university students.
Terry
O'Donovan (Performer)
Terry
grew up in Ireland. He studied Film & Theatre
at The Universityof Reading before training at
Central School of Speech and Drama. He has performed
in all of dANTE OR dIE's productions. Other theatre
credits include Shall We Dance (National Tour
including National Theatre), The Winter's Tale
(National Tour, dir Edward Hall), Russian National
Mail (BAC), Yellowing (Theatre 503), Insomnia
(Oval House Theatre).
Clare
Parke-Davies
(Performer
/ Education director)
Training:
MA Advanced Theatre Practice - Central School
of Speech, BA (Hons) Drama &Theatre Studies,
University of Surrey, Roehampton. As an experienced
performer her theatre credits include Never Smile
at a Crocodile, Wanted and Ferrytale (dANTE OR
dIE) and Macbeth (Lyric Hammersmith). She is currently
filming a number of corporate education shorts
(ER) and has worked as a voice-over artist for
Macmillan-Heinemann Education. Throughout 2005-2006,
Clare was the Youth Arts Development Manager at
Thame Youth Theatre. She was responsible for coordinating
and facilitating 6 workshop sessions for over
120 young people each week. She has led workshops
with Stagecoach Theatre Arts, The Oxford Playhouse
Theatre, The Modjeska Theatre, Poland, HMP Wormwood
Scrubs and smaller local organisations across
Europe
Kirsten
Burrows (Creative producer)
Kirsten
Burrows formed Dialogue Arts Management in 2006
to provide arts fundraising, project management
and theatre production services. Clients include
Scarlet Theatre, Creative Partnerships, Out of
the Box Productions, Transfabulous and Eastside
Consulting. In addition, Kirsten has over 15 years
experience as a European road manager and tour
producer. As dANTE or dIE’s company producer,
Kirsten was drawn to the company’s ingenious
concepts, the calibre of their performances and
their vibrant and infectious energy; not to mention
their outrageous capacity for hummus consumption.

Yaniv
Fridel (Musician)
Yaniv
Fridel is a Producer, multi-instrumentalist,
theatre composer, and songwriter. His music
can be described as atmospheric, romantic and
uplifting combining contemporary electronic
sounds and live instruments. To date, Fridel
has composed more than 10 dance and theatre
shows, numerous TV and Film productions and
ad campaigns. His album recently was top demo
in Sound on Sound magazine. Fridel has worked
with Scapino ballet, Tim Supple, Israeli Philharmonic
Orchestra, ensemble Bat-Sheva, dANTE OR dIE
theatre, CNN, Oi Va Voi, Pinedrop and other
artists.
Mark
Jones (Lighting Designer)
Originally from Wales,
Mark has been a lighting designer for theatre,
concerts and events for the past 6 years. His
work includes artists such as, Kenny Ball, The
Searchers and Denis O’Neil, along with shows
ranging from musicals, Shakespeare to devised
theatre. Mark is currently studying a BA Hons
at the Central School Of Speech and Drama London.
